Fiat vehicle convertions

One of the more prestigious assignments of Olmedo Special Vehicles SpA in Italy, was to design and build the Fiat Ducato minibus to bring Pope Benedict XVI to the earthquake affected areas in Italy in 2008.

The Fiat Ducato is equipped with the Handi Floor aluminium floor and 5 Schnierle Sicom2 seats with White leather luxury upholstery for optimum comfort.

In this Fiat Scudo for the Italian Police there is a need for rearranging the seating layout to use the vehicle as a working station during the day. Olmedo Special Vehicles SpA are using the Handi Floor aluminium floor for this purpose, as it allows for easy removal of the seats and other equipment secured into the Handi Floor system. Equipped also the Flashing LEDs outside the vehicle, these police vehicles set new standards for Police vehicles for the future.

This Fiat Ducato wheelchair minibus is equipped with the Handi Floor aluminiumfloor with 4 Airline Tracks along the middle for securement of the wheelchairs, and 2 plain tracks along each side of the vehicle for fixation of 7 Schnierle TAF2 seats. The wheelchairs are secured with the Handi Secure wheelchair and occupant restraint systems.

Altough not a Fiat vehicle, this Piaggio Porter deserved a place in the Hall of Fame. An electric vehicle equipped with the Handi Floor aluminium floor, a tiny wheelchair lift and 2 foldable seats, makes this the perfect vehicle for airport shuttles.

The Flashing Leds are being used in some italian police vehicles, equipped by Olmedo Special Vehicles SpA. The flashing leds are installed into the front bumper of the vehicles, as a supplement to the flashing lights on the roof.
